What Is Cellulite?

Additionally, as you age and your skin begins to lose elasticity, cellulite becomes more visible. Cellfina® is performed as an in-office procedure in under one hour! Dr. Thompson will mark your cellulite dimples, and then he will inject a local numbing agent for your comfort. The treatment is done using injections along the treatment area. It’s a minimally invasive procedure that works by severing the connective bands under the skin that connect the skin with the underlying fat layer. By removing that connection, the skin will no longer be pulled down into cellulite dimples. Your skin will be smooth, and you will have the confidence to wear bathing suits and shorts once again!
Recovery and Results
Cellfina® does not require extensive downtime, and you can return to your daily activities immediately following the procedure. Most patients experience minimal pain, and the most common side effects are bruising and soreness. These are temporary and should subside within a couple of days, though in some cases, bruising can last longer. You will likely see results in as little as three days.
