Latisse®

Latisse® is a prescription treatment approved by the FDA to improve inadequate eyelashes, or “hypotrichosis.” Latisse is quick and simple to use. Latisse more than doubles lash fullness and also darkens and lengthens the lashes. Noticeable results will be seen within a few weeks and is a more permanent alternative to lash extensions.

Latisse is applied nightly at the base of the upper lashes, but it should not be applied to the lower eyelid. Contact lenses should be removed prior to application and can be reinserted 15 minutes later. If use is discontinued, lashes will return to their original appearance over time.

Safety Information For Latisse

Those using Latisse should avoid contacting other areas of the body or the eye with the solution because hair may grow on areas that Latisse repeatedly touches. Increased brown pigmentation of the colored part of the eye may occur and may likely be permanent. Eyelid skin darkening may also occur but may be reversible. If you use prescription drugs for eye pressure problems, you should use Latisse under doctor supervision. Trial results of Latisse indicated that these complications occurred in less than 4 percent of participants.
